Captain fantastic

Churchill & Blakedown’s Captain’s Week proved a success on and off the course with more than £1,000 raised for Bob Julier’s nominated charity – the Multiple Sclerosis Trust.

A busy week included a shotgun alliance, seniors’ tankard and captain’s invitation culminating in the captain’s day.

Bob commented: “I would like to thank all members who supported and took part in last week’s competitions, culminating in Captains Day.

Thanks go to the President, Trustees and all committee chairpersons and members, Angus and his team for their help and support, and to Mark and the greens staff for producing an absolutely superb course.

I would also like to thank John and Ann for their assistance, guidance and of course catering, Pat and Eddie Morse and Lynda who helped, with the ‘toasties’.  Bev in the office for keeping me on the ‘straight and narrow’ and Chris Howles for the competition control, vice captain Gary and past captain Eddie for other help and being starters. Many thanks to you all.”

Photos taken on the day are available for viewing in the Pro Shop, please let them know if you want quality prints and for a donation, to his charity, the Captain will organize.
