Whether it’s satisfying competitive instincts, a desire for good exercise and fresh air, health and well-being, friendship and social relaxation – golf for women at Churchill & Blakedown ticks all those boxes.

Blessed with stunning views, a warm and friendly clubhouse (with some of the best food around) the club is a welcoming environment for women golfers of all ages and abilities.

Churchill’s position on the outskirts of Kidderminster, just off the A456 means it’s ideal to reach and a haven from the hectic demands of modern life.

There is the option of playing the full 18 - or nine holes in two hours – or even the option of even shorter sessions of just four or five holes and back to the club house for a glass of wine and a chat.

A designated ladies morning on Thursday is popular while monthly competitions on Saturdays and Sundays are also well supported.

On top of this the Club PGA professional Angus Hoare runs a range of fun and informative roll up sessions for beginners through to more established players. Emphasis is very much on community and the social side – learning together while having fun. These sessions are also open to non-members.

A range of membership options cater for all demands while a varied calendar of other golfing events, including mixed competitions, and newcomers are encouraged to join in.

In addition, the ladies play friendly matches against all the local clubs and also belong to the Droitwich Inter Club League for the lower handicappers.

The course, with excellent drainage, offers year-round golf plus the purpose-built Angus Hoare Academy complete with indoor swing studio and state of the art launch monitors and custom club fitting, provides an exceptional teaching facility independent of the weather.
