Ladies Christmas Lunch

Thursday was the Ladies’ Christmas 9 hole greensomes competition.
32 ladies turned out dressed as Santa, elves and reindeer and braved the freezing conditions, even trolleys were decorated with tinsel, garlands and some were even used as Santa’s sleigh!.
The balls bounced high and sometimes wildly, but a treat awaited when it finally dropped in the hole as chocolates had been left there by Santa’s helper. The sugar boost, or perhaps the desire to get back in the warmth quickly, resulted in some great scores.
In third place were Annette Johnston and Lynda Casasola with 34.8, Tracie Evans and Kate Freeman were second with 35.3 and the winners were Jackie cooper and Nicola Wallis with 35.9. Congratulations to all.
The golf was followed by Christmas lunch and some fun over a game of “stick or swap” where prizes were passed around amidst much shrieking and laughter. Thanks to all who came along, it was wonderful to hear the clubhouse alive with the sound of ladies having fun.
