The Club’s newest trophy was played for on Wednesday. As replacement for a B team match it was fought out between a team of Captains, past and present, and a team of Clubbers.
Dire weather warnings and extreme temperatures reduced the match to nine holes, for which everyone was grateful.
The result was enjoyment for all concerned especially as the afternoon was rounded off by Lesley’s delicious lasagne, chips and salad followed by a lemon roulade that melted in the mouth leaving many ‘Olivers’ asking for more. The ever smiling Alys catered for the much needed liquid side.
For those who are interested the match score was 4 – 2 to The Clubbers.
