The Ladies Had Fun

Thursday 31st July, was the first ever, Lady Captains Charity Fun Competition in aid of Mary Stevens Hospice, which is why it appeared our Club had been taken over by the ladies section!

The ladies decided to make a donation, in lieu of entrance money, and raised a FANTASTIC £510!

It was a fun day, in which 35 ladies took part. With chocolates, sweets, sunshine, great company, mulligans, a choice of putting out on 2nd or 11th tee, and a couple of the men’s tees in play, (with extra shot). It all resulted in some interesting scores.

The results were:  1st place with 42 points – Suzanne Cooper, 2nd Annette Johnston, 40 points and 3rd Pauline Hadfield 39 points. Best front 9 went to Jane Stroud, 24 points. Well done all.

The best result however, was the amount raised for MSH, which has already been handed over.

In the words of Lady Captain, Julie Kelly,

“I am proud and honoured to be Lady Captain of such a generous and fantastic bunch of ladies. Thank you again for your continued support to me, MSH and our wonderful Club.”
