A fantastic clipping of the Churchill & Blakedown Pro-Am staged in 1972 has been unearthed. The article was written for the Black Country Bugle and shows that Stourbridge PGA professional Bill Firkins took both team and individual honours.
The field included Neil Selwyn-Smith who went on to captain the Professional Golfers’ Association.
