Last Thursday saw 32 ladies tee off in our Lady Captain & Lady President first ever pairs competition. Due to circumstances this year, Julie and Sally decided to combine their special days.

The weather started kindly, but soon our British summer and rain kicked in, and instead of Pimms after 9 holes, a hot toddy would have been more appropriate!. The weather didn’t dampen the spirits of our ladies who kept going, and were welcomed in the clubhouse afterwards for a sandwich with Julie & Sally.

Donations were gratefully received for Mary Stevens Hospice. The total was an amazing £720, so thank you very much all of you for your generosity and support.

The winners of the competition were: 1^st Judy Perry & Tracey Billingham with 38 points, 2^nd Jeanette Lambert & Annette Johnston with 37 points and 3^rd (on countback) Pauline Hadfield and Angela Strangward 36 points.
