This year’s Seniors Mixed Open was played yesterday and 80 players enjoyed an excellent day out.  The course was superbly presented and this was reflected in the excellent results.  A fourball better ball stableford format was the order of the day.

The winners, with a highly creditable score of 47, were the Churchill & Blakedown pairing of Sue Woolaway and Phil Jefferson.  Runners-up from Forest Hills were Mike Simmons and Sally Meek with 45, closely followed by Jane Batts and Rob Nock and Georgina and Roger Edwards.

A special mention should go to a couple from Newcastle-upon-Tyne who clearly deserved the longest drive of the day!
