Divot party swings into action

Greens chairman Pete Perry and a stalwart bunch of members took to the fairways to repair divots on Wednesday evening.

The divot party saw members bring a bucket rather than a bottle as they filled all the divot holes on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th fairways.

A seed and sand mix will help the fairways regain full growth and ensure the course retains its reputation as one of the most picturesque in the Midlands.

Head greenkeeper Mark Clewes is leading a busy programme of work which includes introducing more shape and definition on the course with the introduction of a first cut of rough and aprons on the approaches to the greens to improve both the playability and aesthetics of the course.
