Talented Churchill & Blakedown golfer Olivia Williams has finished runner up in the Worcestershire County Championships at The Vale Golf Club. A wonderful achievement in a field of more experienced players.

Competitors play 36 holes on Friday, to qualify for the last 16 knockout stages on Saturday and Sunday. Olivia won both her Saturday matches convincingly.

On Sunday she shared a thrilling semi-final match with last year’s champion and former club member, Sarah Cranton, Olivia claiming victory on the 18th. In the afternoon the final was a tense affair with Lucy Walton, from The Worcestershire, taking the Championship on the 17th.

Well done Olivia for a fantastic performance!

Olivia Williams is certainly going places, not least to Frilford Heath in June. Olivia has been selected for the Worcestershire Ladies County Squad for the Ladies County Match week.
